How many sonnenCore+ units can stack together?
sonnenCore+ can stack up to 3 systems per home for a total battery capacity of 60kWh. Systems must be stacked in either all 10kWh OR all 20kWh increments.
Does sonnenCore+ pair with my solar array?
Yes, the sonnenCore+ pairs with new solar systems to store excess energy, and its smart software already controls when it powers your home—day, night, or during outages. It can work without solar, but we recommend pairing it for clean energy and to ensure power during longer outages. Integration with existing solar systems isn’t available yet but is expected by year-end. Consult your sonnen certified installer for the best setup.
Does sonnenCore+ provide backup power?
Yes! Like all sonnen home batteries, the sonnenCore+ protects your essentials from power outages, including keeping your lights on, your home network running and your refrigerator cold. While the number and kinds of appliances you can backup varies, stacked systems with 2 or 3 sonnenCore+ power and protect more of your home (up to 60kWh). The number and kinds of appliances you can backup varies. Please consult with a sonnen certified installer on your backup power needs to design a system that is right for your home.
